Time to travel to our first destination.
These are the spectacular ruins of what used to be a grand palace for Scottish royalty. It was the birthplace of Mary Stuart. Born on 7th December 1542. Mary was the sole surviving heir to the Scottish throne.
Her care-free ‘childhood’ lasted only six days. When her father James died, Mary became queen.
Sketch out the palace.
Use only pencil (normal or just one colour), to sketch out the outline of the palace. Use the pictures and video to help you.
Remember, with sketching, key is using the side of your pencil to capture the scene.
Share your sketches on the Google Classroom Stream.
The fountain in the middle of the palace was filled with wine for celebrations - not water.
