Technology, Engineering, and Design
In Technology, Engineering, and Design (TED) students learn how to safely navigate the digital world; identify tools to help them learn, solve problems and achieve purposes by creating something new or modifying something else; and connect with others through visual design.
If you are interested in grade level goals, please visit the pages for Early Ed (Preschool, Pre-Kindergarten, and Kindergarten), Elementary (1st Grade, 2nd Grade, and 3rd Grade), Upper Elementary (4th Grade and 5th Grade), and Middle School, (6th Grade, 7th Grade, and 8th Grade). All these goals are tied together by the philosophy that technology is a tool to solve problems and further learning. If we can give our students a deep tool box, the skills to use those tools, and a critical eye to know which tool to use then we can claim success.
Lessons are delivered through a mix collaborative projects with classroom teachers and direct instruction in the CKS MakerSpace. Be sure to visit the appropriate pages to find out what's happening in all the grades!
