Extra-Curricular Ensembles

Membership in all extra-curricular ensembles is not required. Students opt-in to each ensemble. Their enrollment is a verbal contract agreeing to meet scheduled rehearsals, events, and other ensemble expectations. Memberships can be terminated at the discretion of ensemble staff, mainly Mr. Ostheimer.

Marching Band

The Klahowya Marching Band and Color Guard is a proud ensemble of dedicated members. Enrollment opens in June annually and rehearsals run from August through October. Students interested in Marching Band should contact Mr. Ostheimer and keep an eye out for postings around the school.

Pep Band

The Klahowya Pep Band runs through the months of December and January, with special events at assemblies throughout the year. The Klahowya Pep Band is open to all members of an academic ensemble. Pep band does not have a 'uniform' at this time. Members are encouraged to wear spirit gear. Anything that promotes our school team and students! See our calendar for all pep band events.


Parade Band

Parade Band takes place annually during the spring. Parade Band history and techniques are taught during academic ensemble time. Enrollment will begin in March annually. Parade Band will participate in events akin to Viking Festival in Poulsbo and the Bremerton Armed Forces Day Parade.
