BELIEFS:

I believe that all students can make amazing strides each year and it is our duty to provide these opportunities for all students. We can unlock the potential of every student through the use of research based instructional strategies and intervention.

I believe the parents and educators should work together to create a foundation for success by providing resources to facilitate their child’s academic growth.

I believe in educating teachers by disseminating information and offering practical advice on the identification of struggling students and the accommodations needed for success in the classroom.

I believe that educating the citizens of City View about the programs we provide will promote an informed and supportive community.

MISSION:

My mission is to ensure that all City View ISD students are receiving a free and appropriate education through Special Education, Section 504, and Dyslexia Services.

As a community of educators, we will prepare each student for success through innovative and engaging individualized instructional practices targeted to the individual needs of each student while encouraging continuous growth.

About me

My family and I relocated to the area in January 2019 from Denton Texas. Moving a family can be extremely stressful but my concerns where diminished after that first interview with the educational leaders of the district and tour of City View Jr./Sr. High School. When applying for leadership positions I was doing more than job searching; I was looking for a new home for my family. I knew I found this home in City View and am grateful that I have been given the opportunity to serve this community.
Moving here has been an amazing experience for me and my family and it is all due to the positive culture and welcoming climate of the staff, parents, and students here at City View. I am thankful that I have been given this opportunity and will strive to serve the community by always considering what is best for these incredible students.
This is my 16th year in education with 14 of those years at Krum Independent School District. During that time, I have taught: Algebra I, Math Models, 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade Mathematics, 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade Inclusion Mathematics, Pre-Algebra, Algebra, UIL Academic Prep, and UIL One Act Play Prep Much like City View, Krum is a smaller district and I am grateful for the many opportunities to lead and learn that I was provided there. I have coordinated UIL academics, directed MS OAP, served as grade level team leader, mathematics department head, student council sponsor, as well as freshman and senior class sponsor in my time there. Thank you for welcoming me into your district and I am looking forward to a great career here! Go Mustangs!
