6th Grade Math

Welcome to 6th Grade Math! I am so excited that you are in my classroom this year! I look forward to a great year of learning and growing together.

This is my 14th year of teaching and my first year here at City View ISD. I have taught 6th and 7th grade Math. I utilize the Growth Mindset approach in my Math classroom. Growth Mindset just states that all students can succeed in Math by dedication and a focus on learning. For instance, if you want to do well in band, football or art you will practice, practice and practice. You will also make mistakes, ask questions and work to succeed. A person with a growth mindset will work hard and accept challenges and mistakes as an opportunity to grow. The following is a great video that we will view in class that you may enjoy watching with your students.

My goal is to help you succeed!
