What does the wilderness reveal? When Jesus was led into the desert — hungry, alone, and face to face with the enemy — something was being exposed about all of us. This Sunday we are opening Luke 4 and tracing a thread that runs from the Garden of Eden through Israel's wilderness wandering all the way to the faithfulness of Jesus. It's a message for anyone who has ever felt like they are not holding up — and that's all of us. Invite a friend and come ready to be reminded of what your faith actually rests on.
Pacific Northwest Church Planting Movement Offering
Sunday, February 22
City Chapel is leading the Western Washington cohort of the Pacific Northwest Church Planting Movement (PNWCPM). Every year we commit ourselves to financially supporting church plants within our network. On February 22, we will be taking an offering in service to support these new churches being planted in our region. The mission is to see more gospel-centered churches planted in the Pacific Northwest. Our county alone has 68% of its population with no religious affiliation. The fields are ripe unto harvest! If 5% of the 300,000 people that call Kitsap home were to come to salvation in Jesus, there is no place to put them. This is just one of several reasons why we need more churches discipling followers of Jesus.
Through our partnership with the PNWCPM, we're also connected to international church planting efforts, extending the reach of the gospel beyond our own region. As we support local church plants, we're part of a broader movement that's making disciples across multiple continents.

CarePortal is Coming to Kitsap County!
February 22
City Chapel is partnering with CarePortal — a platform that connects churches with families in crisis in our community. Social workers, teachers, and caseworkers identify urgent needs (beds, groceries, rent, transportation), and local churches like ours get real-time alerts so we can respond with real help.
More than half of all requests are met within 48 hours. Beds get delivered. Utilities stay on. Families stay together. This is Matthew 25 in action — loving our neighbors in the most tangible way.
CarePortal launches February 22. Join us for a training and launch party right after service at 12:30pm. Come ready to be the hands and feet of Jesus in Kitsap County.
City Women's Bunco Bash
Friday, March 13
City Women!! Join us for our annual Bunco night on Friday, March 13 from 6:30-9:00 PM. Old girls, young girls and every girl in-between are welcome! We will have fun worshipping our Lord with our wonderful musicians, fellowship with each other eating yummy snacks and then belly laugh while playing Bunco! Bring your game face, and a sweet or salty snack to share. A variety of beverages will be provided.
This is our opportunity to replenish the non-perishable pre-packaged foods for the Bremerton High School counselors to distribute to students in need of a healthy snack. (Cheese or Peanut butter crackers, granola type or protein bars, nuts, etc).

Bible Translation Complete—Join the Celebration!
Bible Translation for the Kony People of Kenya
Last year, we set a goal to raise $19,500 to partner with Wycliffe Associates in translating the Bible for the Kony people of Kenya. Thanks to your generosity and our church's commitment, this translation project is fully funded!
Now we have the incredible opportunity to join the Kony community for the dedication of their first Bible in their heart language—the language they learned at their mother's knee.
Trip Details:
Dates: June 14-22, 2026
Departure: Sunday, June 14 from Seattle (return Monday, June 22) Estimated
cost: ~$1,900 (flights + in-country travel)
We will fly into Nairobi, catch a jumper plane to Eldoret, then drive about 3 hours to the Kony region. This is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to celebrate with our brothers and sisters as they receive God's Word in their own language for the very first time.

Dear Church Family,
We're seeking God's guidance and wisdom as we search for our next Youth Pastor/Director, and we invite you to join us in prayer for this important journey. This part-time role (20 hours weekly at $28/hour) represents a vital ministry opportunity, and we trust the Lord will lead the right person to join our church family. City Moms — Meeting 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month, 10 - 11am in the Mom's and Baby lounge.
Creative Christian Sisters — Bring your individual creative projects to work on and share in Fellowship, Conversation and Prayer. Meets every Friday, 10-12 in
the Fellowship Hall.
City Men Prayer — Every third Sunday, 10 minutes after service in the North Room.
Food Pantry — Available for church members and those in need.
NEXT — Join our once per month City Chapel integration class, designed to help newcomers understand our church vision and how to become a part of our church community. The gathering will be held on the last Sunday of every month, directly after the Sunday morning service.
