Who am I?

Hello! I am Mr. I and I am an art teacher /artist, originally from Long Island. Prior to teaching I ran the Children's Program for the Mohonk Mountain House in New Paltz, NY.  I earned my bachelor’s degree from SUNY New Paltz in 2006 and my master’s degree from Umass Dartmouth in 2015. Both degrees in Art Education.

Where can you find me?

I teach Photography, Ceramics and Graphic Design at CHHS. I am also the Graphic Adviser to the Yearbook Club and the advisor to the Dungeons and Dragons Club. If you need more time in the Darkroom stop by for helping period!

What am I looking for?

In my classroom I encourage effort! Due dates and assignments are flexible in order to allow students to explore and learn on their own terms. Last call for a assignments is one week before the end of the marking period. I look for students to engage in creative decision making. I value the uses of art vocabulary in both our writing and our in class discussions. Finally, I reward risk taking in all artistic endeavors.

Do you need your own camera?

No! I have film and digital cameras to lend out during the school year.
