Y8 Summer Exam Revision and Preparation

How will I be assessed?
Speaking (2 minutes max)
You will have a 1:1 speaking assessment with your teacher. This will be in class before your end of year exam. After Easter, you will be given a list of questions to prepare and then you will be asked some of those questions.
Listening (30 minutes)
A range of verbal and non-verbal responses, focussing on both meaning (what you understand) and form (how you understand it).
Reading & Writing (1 hour 15 minutes)
Reading: a range of verbal and non-verbal responses, focussing on both meaning (what you understand) and form (how you understand it).
Writing: short writing question and some sentences to translate into German.
How do I prepare for this exam?
Revise vocabulary for the topics we have covered so far this year. This vocabulary will be used for the listening, reading, writing and speaking assessments. Use your exercise books, PowerPoints on Google Classroom and Quizlets.

How should I revise?
Your books are your starting point. Your teachers work extremely hard to make sure you have everything you need at your fingertips
Go through your exercise books - read feedback and look at self-reflection. Look at previous exams, assessments & prior preparation too - where could you improve next time?
