"A Genuine Leader is not a Searcher for Consequences, but a Molder of Consequences" ~ Martin Luther King
Student Volunteer bodies are a great opportunity for students to connect with other individuals and make effective contributions. Volunteering in the student bodies can provide opportunities for one to help build their social skills, self-confidence, self-esteem, and life satisfaction. It can enable the students to do good for other students in the community, providing a sense of accomplishment and also adding to a big part of showcasing one's leadership influence in carrying out their respective leadership responsibilities.
Two Day Outbound Student Leadership Program caters to better enhance leadership skills of the volunteers and to give them an orientation program conducted for different students organizations such as Student Council, SWO & CHRIST Cultural Team, Class Representatives, Club Heads & Association Representatives. Each year the training session is given to these student volunteer nd leaders. The entire training process is facilitated using a non-classroom approach, to get the students involved in the training and to ensure experiential and immersive learning for creating spaces for teamwork building and self-management.
All the student leaders on campus are trained according to their roles in the center/group; and on common leadership attributes that are necessary for student volunteer leaders:
Personal leadership & team-building training for SWO volunteers, cultural teams, Choir.
Leadership development retreat for management studies students.
Choir Team orientation training.
Cultural Team orientation training.
"Develop a Passion for Learning, if you Do, you will Never Cease to Grow."
This is an initiative to create a great platform to engage in building the community within the university to become influential in the larger community out there. The aim is to keep the collective within to be driven by the mission of holistic development so that they can make an effective and dynamic contribution to the society.
