Hello 3^rd Grade!

My name is Alisha Smith, and I am so excited to have you in my class this year! I am a reading fanatic so I cannot wait to share my favorite subject with you. We are going to learn and grow together on our reading journey.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family (mom to 3), exploring state and National parks, and traveling whenever I can.

I transitioned to teaching from a career in Higher Education where I worked as an Assistant Director of Residential Life. I knew teaching was a passion and so I made the jump!

I am a graduate of:

• WKU- BA in Social Studies & History

• WKU- MAE in Student Affairs

• UC- MAE in Elementary Education

In addition, I have been trained in IMSE Comprehensive and am working on LETRS training with the Kentucky Department of Education.
