WHAT WE DO

Clothe Children & Collaborate

The purpose of our chapter is service to children.

The Clothing Center provided over 2000 children new clothing, including uniform pants, shirts, coats, hats, gloves, socks, and underwear, this year.

130 Infant Bereavement Gifts were provided to area hospitals.

290 newborns received layettes, which included infant clothing, socks, diapers, bottles, wipes, blankets and more. We have worked with the hospitals and area agencies since 1957, providing these wonderful gifts for babies.

Literacy activities through partnerships with United Way of Summit County and Akron Public Schools. Read to children on Dr. Seuss’s Birthday, distribute school supplies at Back-pack Adventure, tutoring, and Read to me Cards, created by National Christ Child Society to encourage early literacy activities included in our layettes.
