Three Oaks is proud to present One Book, One School 2026!
Welcome! One Book, One School is a community event where families, students, and teachers share their love for literacy by reading The Wild Robot by Peter Brown.
What is One Book, One School?
One Book, One School is a national program to promote reading together at home. Benefits include:
improved listening skills
larger vocabularies
better understanding of concepts
a positive outlook on reading and books
We are so excited to come together as a school community to share in the joy of reading! Throughout this special event, students and families will read The Wild Robot together while participating in engaging activities that bring the story to life.
During our One Book, One School celebration, families can look forward to:
Family Night – Join us for a fun evening at school filled with literacy activities, connections, and community as we celebrate our shared reading experience together.
Spirit Week – Show your Three Oaks pride by participating in themed dress-up days inspired by the book. It’s a fun way to build excitement and school spirit!
Whole School Movie Event – After finishing the book, we will celebrate with a special school-wide movie viewing to wrap up our reading journey together.
Choice Board Activities – Students will have the opportunity to extend their learning with creative, engaging choice board activities connected to the themes, characters, and adventures in the story.
We can’t wait to see our Three Oaks community reading, learning, and celebrating together!
