Clinical Supervison:
Dr. Chiang provides clinical supervision by integrating three bodies of theoretical approaches: relational psychodynamic, anti-racist, and trauma-informed care approach. Dr. Chiang is most skilled in working with clinicians seeking supervision to further understand how one's countertransference impacts clinical dynamic. Clinicians seeking supervision should expect to work with Dr. Chiang over a period of time with the goal of understanding how the clinician's self emerges in the consulting room. This also involves learning about ways to integrate this understanding into clinical practices.
Clinical Consultation:
Dr. Chiang provides clinical consultation to clinicians to assist in diagnostic clarification and treatment planning. This service is most commonly utilized to address a clinical impasses with clear perimeters around the circumstances.
Dr. Chiang also provides clinical consultations for clinicians interested in providing Healing from Discrimination Group to members in the BIPOC community. The consultation may include assisting in clinician's own racial identity development, as well as examining ways to implement the group to the specific clinical context.
Individual Psychotherapy:
Dr. Chiang provides long-term individual psychotherapy for adults following the relational psychoanalytic approach and trauma-informed care that considers individual development and systematic impact on people. Dr. Chiang strives to meet you where you are at, and is most passionate about working with BIPOC individuals, immigrants, and people with intersecting marginalized identities.
Comprehensive Psychological Assessment:
Dr. Chiang provides comprehensive psychological assessment for individuals seeking diagnostic clarification, documentation, and treatment recommendations. Dr. Chiang specifically provides Mandarin-English bilingual assessment to for children and adults with bi-lingual and bi-cultural background. The comprehensive psychological assessment follows a collaborative assessment approach to understanding each person in context.
