A very warm welcome to our newest CHIPPS - the Chippewa Class of 2037! Here you will find the District’s Registration Process for Kindergarten.  We are excited to have you and your family as part of the Chippewa Local School District Community. 

 
In order to register for kindergarten, a child must be 5-years-old by August 1, 2024 to qualify.

STEP ONE- Complete Final Forms
In preparation for kindergarten registration, please complete your kindergartener's Final Forms before registration. Final forms will open in March.

STEP TWO- Sign up for your appointment

Registration/screening for your student will be held on April 18th by appointment only.  Please click on the link below to sign up for your appointment. 

** Final Forms must be completed before your registration appointment** 

2024-2025 Kindergarten Screening Sign-Ups

STEP THREE- You & your child will attend the screening

Parents should bring the following documents to registration:

• a certified birth certificate

• social security card

• proof of residency (utility bill with guardian name and address)

• immunization records and any necessary health paperwork

• completed CHILD'S MEDICAL STATEMENT form (you may pick this form up from Hazel Harvey if you cannot print)

• custody papers (if applicable)

  • If applicable, the residential parent must register the child

  • Only a legal parent/guardian can register a student. If your name is not on the student's birth certificate, you must bring custody documentation.

Please bring your completed packet with you and your child to your appointment.  During your child's screening, we will have an informational parent/guardian meeting.

Kindergarten Open Enrollment

Open Enrollment forms will be accepted for incoming kindergarteners but does not guarantee acceptance.  Any families wishing to seek open enrollment, the period will be open April 1st-June 30th.
