About this Course

ParentSquare Admins keep the entire district/ school community informed and manage ParentSquare access and view progress. This 101 course describes the 3 main ways in which you, as the ParentSquareAdmin, can use ParentSquare to communicate:

Course Prerequisites:

You should be able to log in to ParentSquare.

Session 1 - ParentSquare Admin Overview (3:03)

This overview of ParentSquare provides a brief orientation to the dashboard and how to navigate the platform.

Session 2 - Posts (11:34)

Posts can be sent to the whole school/district, a grade level, or a group. When you create a post, recipients have the option to receive an email, text, or app notification.

Session 3 - Direct Messages (1:40)

Direct Messages give you the option to send a private message/chat to individual recipients (bcc) or a group message/chat to individual recipients.

Session 4 - Alerts & Notices (5:45)

Alerts & Notices are designed for one-way quick reminders or emergency alerts.

Smart Alert vs. Urgent Alert

What is the difference between a Smart Alert and an Urgent Alert?

Smart Alert

Examples: school closures, delayed opening, early dismissal, after-school and weekend activities cancellation

Urgent Alert

Examples: natural disasters, critical threats, etc.
