Cherry Creek School District offers two networks through United Health Care, the Colorado Doctor's Plan Network or the Choice Plus Network. We offer a High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) and a Deductible HMO Plan (DHMO) in both networks. Employees who enroll in the HDHP may be eligible for HSA contributions from the District. Please see the premium rates below for more information.
Check out the United Healthcare education center web site for detailed information about the UHC plans.

How Eligibility for Benefits is determined under the Affordable Care Act (ACA)
If you are not eligible for benefits upon hire, we will determine your initial eligibility for health benefits by tracking your hours of service during an Initial Measurement Period - the first year of employment.
Your Initial Measurement Period begins the 1st of the month following your date of hire and continues for 12 months. If you average thirty (30) hours of service per week (or an average of at least 130 hours of service per month) during the 12 month Initial Measurement Period, you will be offered medical coverage for a 12 month period beginning the 1st of the month following 30 days after the end of the Initial Measurement Period. Hours of service that count towards your eligibility for health benefits are: (1) those hours for which you are paid to work, and (2) the hours for which you are paid for vacation, holiday, illness, incapacity (including disability), layoff, jury duty, military duty, or leave of absence. You must enroll in coverage according to CCSD enrollment online requirements for coverage to become effective.
Employees who have gone through an Initial Measurement Period will then have their hours averaged during the Standard Measurement Period. If an employee is determined to have worked 30 or more hours per week on average, they will be offered medical coverage. The Benefits Office will notify these employees of their eligibility. Coverage will begin on July 1st following the Standard Measurement Period, providing the employee enrolls in coverage according to CCSD online enrollment requirements. This 12-month period of coverage is referred to as the Standard Stability Period. You must elect coverage, pay your share of premiums, and continue to be an employee during this period in order to maintain coverage.
If you do not average at least 30 hours of service per week (or an average of at least 130 hours of service per month) during the Initial Measurement Period and/or the Standard Measurement Period, then you will not be eligible for medical coverages.
