Health Savings Account (HSA)
Health Savings Accounts (HSA) are the most tax-efficient way to pay medical, dental, and vision expenses (and more!) while providing an opportunity to build a safety net for future expenses.
HSAs are for you to use and keep, so unspent dollars roll forward and earn tax-free interest, and if you leave the District, the HSA goes with you!
Cherry Creek School District contributes $3,000 per year for individuals and $6,000 per year for families (full-time) who enroll in United HealthCare HDHP plans and are eligible to establish an HSA. The maximum families may receive in District contribution is $6,000/year. If both spouses work for the District you may not both enroll and receive more than the $6,000 contribution.
These contributions greatly reduce your out-of-pocket costs, and cut the full-time annual deductible in half!
You can also make pre-tax contributions to your HSA Bank account through payroll deduction to stretch your healthcare dollars even further. Visit https://www.hsabank.com/hsabank/Members/Members-Frequently-Asked-Questions to learn more about the benefits of having a Health Savings Account.

Yes, you can make changes to your HSA contribution anytime during the year. Health Savings Account (HSA) changes must be completed in Oracle following these steps:
Locate and open the Oracle app in your My.CherryCreek Portal
Click on the Benefits tile and then click Report a Life Event.
For a step-by-step guide on this process, click here.
Note: When making this change you must account for all deductions to date for this plan year in addition to any future amounts in. For example, if you have been contributing $50 from July through December but want to make the change to $0 monthly for January and beyond. You will enter $300 in the amount box. This will show your future contributions as $0. Another example using the same scenario above but making a future change to $100 per month. You would use the $300 figure for year to date contributions plus future contributions totalling $600 ($100 for January through June) and write in $900 in the amount box. This will show your future contributions as $100.
When finished, press Continue then Submit. You will receive a confirmation screen when it has been submitted.
