Benefits Eligibility
Employees are eligible for benefits if they are in a benefit eligible employee group position and are working at least .5 FTE. There are full time and part time rates based on FTE status, as indicated above.
FTE is calculated with the following formula: Days worked in the year x Hours per day/Total hours available in the year for that position.

Full Time Status for Benefits Purposes
.60 - 1.0 FTE; Bus Drivers/Bus Assistants: .471 - 1.0 FTE (24+ hours/week)
Part Time Status for Benefits Purposes
.50 FTE - .59 FTE; Bus Drivers/Bus Assistants: .39 - .47 FTE (20 - 23.99 hours/week)
