Specific entry requirements: One of the following is required: a grade 6 in GCSE Art and Design, a grade 6 in a related DT subject such as Graphic Products, Textiles or Resistant Materials, or a Distinction in BTEC First Diploma in Art and Design.
What will you study?
In Year 12 you will explore The 2D Formal Elements through drawing and painting. This will involve developing skills and ideas using materials and techniques in conventional and unconventional ways. Observational drawing and connections to artists from different times, places and cultures will inform this process. Processes such as photography, printmaking, 3D sculpting and digital media might also play a part.
In Year 13 you will refine ideas to create final piece outcomes and present a sustained body of work to meet the Assessment Objectives. At the centre of this will be a highly developed sense of mastery in your personalised approach to Fine Art. This will be accompanied by a written project report.
