Chapel Hill High School

Greetings...and thanks for stopping by the Chapel Hill High construction website. As you know, this project is massive. At times, it can seem lengthy, tiresome, tedious and expensive. However, we must remain focused on the end goal. We are building a school that will be a community hub for generations to come. Our students deserve a learning space that is not only conducive to world-class instructional strategies, but one that is also safe, reliable and cost effective. The new Chapel Hill High will be state-of-the-art in all of those areas.

I want to thank all who have been, are currently, or will be a part of this process. Our Board of Education and our Board of County Commissioners created a bond package that was overwhelmingly approved by our supportive community. Our architectural and construction teams have been working together with town officials to design a plan that will achieve all of our goals. School staff, along with students and families, are preparing for a unique logistical experience that will impact classrooms, hallways and even parking spaces.

On May 23, the Town Council unanimously approved the construction permit which sets this ball rolling. Our qualified architectural and construction teams have hit the ground running so that the job ahead of us gets done as quickly and as safely as possible. This project will require patience, flexibility and unparalleled collaboration...but we are up for the task. I am excited to be your superintendent and to lead us through this next chapter of the flagship we call Chapel Hill High. Thank you to everyone for locking arms and moving forward with us.
