بە خۆشحاڵییەوە پێتان ڕادەگەیەنین کە سەنتەری نێودەوڵەتیی فیزیای تیۆری  - ئیتاڵیا بە هەماهەنگی لەگەڵ زانکۆی چەرموو و زانکۆی سلێمانی، بۆ جاری دووەم لە هەرێمی کوردستانی عێراق، سکوڵێک دەربارەی فیزیای پزیشکی ڕێکدەخات. ئەم سکوڵە، پێشەکییەک دەبێت لەسەر بیرۆکە و دۆزینەوە نوێیەکانی بەرەی پێشەوەی فیزیای پزیشکی و پزیشکی ناوکی ودەستنیشنکردن و چەرەسەرکردنی نەخۆشی شيرپەنجە جێبەجێکردنەکانی لە نەخۆشخانەکاندا.

سکوڵەکە بە زمانی ئینگلیزی و بە بەشداریی کۆمەڵێک فیزیکزانی نێودەوڵەتی و توێژەری پێشەنگی بوارەکە دەبێت. سەرەڕای وەرگرتنی پێشەکییەک لەسەر بابەتەکە، بەشداربووان بە شێوەی سەرەکی ئاشنا دەبن بە نوێترین دەستکەوت و بوارەکانی توێژینەوە لەم دوو بوارەدا لە لە تێروانینی تاقیکاری و تیۆرییەوە. بۆ زانیاری زیاتر سەردانی ئەم لینکە بکەن(https://indico.ictp.it/event/10440/)

We are pleased to announce that for the second-time, the Physics Without Frontiers program (PWF) of the  International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP), in partnership with Charmo University and University of Sulaimani, holds a school on Medical Physics  in University of Sulaimani, Sulaymaniyah city, Kurdistan Region of Iraq from 1st to 4th October 2023.  The aim of the School is to obtain a general understanding of Nuclear Medicine in Cancer Diagnosis and Treatment such as  to highlight the significance of nuclear medicine techniques in detecting, characterizing, and monitoring cancer, and to emphasize the need for research and advancements in nuclear medicine for improved cancer outcomes.

Indeed, It Provides a brief introduction to medical physics and its role in cancer management. Highlight the significance of radiation therapy in cancer treatment. Furthermore, the fundamentals of radiation therapy, including ionizing radiation and its interaction with cancer cells  will be discussed. Then,  in the school the speakers will explain the different types of radiation used in cancer treatment, such as external beam radiation therapy, brachytherapy and Particle therapy.

Interested third and fourth-year undergrads in Physics, Medical Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Medicine and also graduated students having these majors  who are interested in the subject are welcome to apply. The school Program is dedicated to provide an environment of opportunity that will allow our students to successfully learn and manage into the well-rounded medical physics of tomorrow.

Eligibility:

1- Only students from Kurdistan region of Iraq can apply.

2- Third and fourth-year undergrads, also graduated students, and Medical students can apply.

Please note that:

1. The application deadline is 20th September 2023.

2. The instruction language of the school is English.

3. The participants MUST attend every session to receive the certificate at the end.

4. Read the last three questions carefully and include answers to all parts of each question.

5. The number of seats is limited and will be selected by the board of organizers based on the information presented in the form.
