We encountered a few problems while building our Flite Test Mini Trainer plane. First, we were following the instructions to build the plane on this video, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KJWg5HJBGGc&t=3007s, made by Flite Test. The instructions in this video were different from the instructions we were actually supposed to be following so we ended up gluing the top of our fuselage when we were supposed to wait until after the installation of our metal rods. We first attempted to use a heat gun to melt the hot glue so we could easily lift the part up. This method ended up burning part of the foam. We solved this problem by making a new fuselage. This way, the fuselage would be cleaner and stronger. Another problem we faced was installing the metal rods themselves. After snaking them through the body of the plane, we followed the instructions on the video, which had the Z ends of the rods pointing out the back and started to push these Z ends through the wooden piece without any other metal fasteners. In reality, we were supposed to follow the instructions of the fasteners that we had assembled on our Tutor plane. We simply took the rods out of the wood piece and installed our metal fasteners. We cut the Z end off and slid them through the metal fasteners and used a wire bender to add Z ends on the other side.
