A. I need a cardboard box because I need somewhere to store my ongoing projects where I cant lose them.
B. On the right is a picture of what I learned in the tutorial. It taught me about how to design different shapes how to give it different colors and also how to make the shapes 3D.

The designs are numbered to show what we did for each video
In the first video we designed sides of a box with tabs
In the second video we cut our sides down to see if the tabs did connect
In the final video we made the bottom of the boxes
The design is for a box that I designed in Corel and later laser cut on cardboard. This box was made to store small components for other projects that we do during the semester. The box has the tabs on the ends so that they can connect together better. The one at the end is the bottom of the box. It has its tabs on the sides so that it can be connected to the bottom of the sides where there is a little rectangle for them to connect to.
The laser cutting process itself went smoothly. All the lines cut where they needed to cut and they engraved where they needed to engrave. I did run into one small issue though in that I had cut my bottom to be too small for the other sides. I quickly measured the sides and added the appropriate amount of area to the bottom for it to fit the other sides. It only took me about a minute in total and was a simple fix. (You can see in the image to the right that the bottom piece is a bit smaller than in the other photo while in the one above the bottom piece is bigger).
This is the final product all connected together with glue. You can see the side with my last name engraved into it, the bottom showing the piece that fit, and the top showing that all the sides connect to one another well.
The design to the right is my last name and an image of our choice. We were tasked with making these vinyl stickers so that we could easily identify our laser cut boxes that we had made at the start of the year with the help of Ms. Morrow.
The vinyl cutting process had a bit of a rocky start. It was just a bit of miscommunication in how to sign into the computer. After that the rest of the process went smoothly with the exception to one thing. I had slightly misaligned the design resulting in my design of a duck having its head slightly cut open. This could have been easily fixed with moving the design slightly down next time but the little cut isn’t very noticeable and since others needed to vinyl cut I decided to keep it how it was. My last name came out well though.
