Academic Programs

Wando offers Foundation courses to students who are struggling in regular courses. For example, a student struggling with math can take Foundations in Algebra first. Because Foundations in Algebra is the first course in a two-course sequence, students who successfully complete Foundations in Algebra must subsequently enroll in Intermediate Algebra. Upon completion of the Foundations in Algebra/Intermediate Algebra two-course sequence, students must take the state-mandated Algebra 1 End-of-Course Examination administered at the completion of the second course, Intermediate Algebra. We also have the Ready for High School literacy course that pairs with their English course as a support if a student is struggling in English. Please see the Program of Studies or contact your child's teacher for more information.
