When to leave......the earlier the better

  • Practice begins at 2 pm and will start on time to minimize traffic woes for the return trip to Mt. Pleasant.
    • The recommendation is for students and teachers to carpool and leave no later than 1 pm. We strongly suggest cars leave Mt. Pleasant around 12-12:30, and students eat lunch in the Tanger Outlet area before practice begins. Students need to arrive no later than 1:30 to the North Charleston Coliseum.
  • Graduation will begin at 7:30 pm and students need to arrive around 5:30 pm. Please plan accordingly to accommodate Friday afternoon rush hour traffic. Doors to the Coliseum will open around 5:30 pm to accommodate our families. We strongly suggest you leave earlier in the day and eat and shop around Tanger Outlet.
    • If you plan to arrive earlier, Charleston County School District has reserved a Reception Room in the Exhibit Hall (located directly across from the Coliseum and Performing Arts Center.
      • Room A-1 in the Exhibit Hall will open at 5 pm and close before the ceremony begins.
      • Water, iced tea, coffee and light snacks will be available for graduates and their families.
