The Library @ the Nest~

Northwoods Middle School

Our Mission

The Library @ The Nest is at the center of our learning community. It creates and promotes a culture of readers within our school. The Library @ The Nest supports all curriculum areas and encourages students’ reading and learning for both information and pleasure. To meet our school’s diverse learning needs and to create a culturally open environment, a wide range of materials in many formats is available in our library and online. Being able to efficiently access and effectively make use of information ensures all Nighthawk students can learn and grow @ The Nest.

Library Policies & Procedures

The library policies are designed based on American Association of School Librarians standards and state curriculum standards, along with local CCSD policies and the Library Bill of Rights. These are intended to meet students' reading, learning, and informational needs. Detailed information about these ideas as well as the collection development policy and book challenge policy can be found here.
