Mrs. Cowan 1-3

Hello! Welcome to Mrs. Cowan's 1st grade website.

I am excited to teach your child here at Stono Park Elementary this school year! In first grade students will become more independent learners and thinkers. They will learn through the use of math Work Places, Read Well, and Writing Workshop, just to name a few.

Here is a little about me! I started teaching elementary school in 2008. I have experience teaching CD-1st grade. I graduated with a bachelor's degree from Clemson University in Early Childhood Education and a master's degree from The Citadel in Literacy Education. I have a 2 year old that keeps me busy and I love to go to the beach!

Students grow and learn so much in the first grade and I look forward to working with you and your child this school year!
