Students are not allowed to bring any valuable items into the school. These include AirPods, headphones, digital cameras, smart watches and any other personal entertainment equipment.
The school discourages the bringing of mobile phones into school and if brought into school they do so entirely at their own risk. Any student found to be using a mobile phone or other digital equipment during the school day will have it confiscated and a sanction will be applied in accordance with our ‘Positive Behaviour for Learning’ Policy, which can be accessed on the school website.
The success of this policy not only depends on our students acting sensibly but also on the support of our parents. All parents are expected to support the school over this important matter.
Please note that the use of smart watches, AirPods and headphones will be covered by the same procedures set out above.
Students needing to contact parents in an emergency should report to Reception where they are able to use the school phone. Students who contact their parents directly from their own mobile phone without permission will be sanctioned accordingly.
Please note that mobile phones and all other electrical/digital equipment that are not handed into Reception remain the sole responsibility of the student. The School is not and will not be responsible or liable for any damage, loss or theft to the equipment. The school cannot be held responsible for any personal property lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed.
A Lost Property box is kept outside the canteen (under a covered area). Items that are brought to Reception are checked for names and if named they will be returned to the student, if there is no name it will be put in to the Lost Property box.
A variety of school trips will be offered to your child whilst they are a student at Chancellor’s School. The cost of most school trips will be chargeable as an extra. The permission of parents or carers will be sought.
