The UK’s top doctors agree that it’s best for children to take regular breaks from screens and make time for other activities like playing outside, reading, or spending time with family and friends.
Let’s all try to have a healthy balance!
Leave mobile phones outside of bedrooms to ensure you get good quality sleep
Put phones away when you are outside, especially when crossing the road
Have screen-free mealtimes
Know the impact of sharing inappropriate images or messages
Restrict your screen time to no more than 2 hours at a time
Always be aware of what you are doing online
Make sure you know who to talk to if you are worried about online safety and cyber bullying.
Your parents, your form tutor and Mr Waldron can all help you if you ask.
