Have you started with designing a course and you don't know where to begin? Learn about the CUH Template designed to make your life easier by watching the video. If you would like to follow along with Scott in the Canvas Template video, download the CUH Template file then follow the steps provided on How Do I import a Canvas course? to install the template.
Important: You must be logged into your CUH email account to download the template file above. Also, ONLY import the CUH template into an empty course or you may overwrite existing data.
Organize your course in using weekly modules.
Have due dates on all assignments.
Make sure your gradebook is visible and up to date.
Organize graded items in Assignments.
Hide unused tools.

Have you been wanting to record videos for your students but unsure how to create your own videos? There are two recording tools in Canvas for you to choose from: Canvas Video and Panopto. Learn about which tool may be better for you.
Plan what you intend to do before starting.
Record in a quiet place.
Create videos per learning objective to maintain your students' attention.
Keep your video to 5-7 minutes max to maintain your students' attention through the whole video. Avoid exceeding 15 minutes for more complex topics.
Always save your video files with an appropriate name so it is easy to find later.
