The statewide student loan repayment program includes two initiatives for clinicians and patient support staff of community health centers, community mental health centers, inpatient psychiatric hospitals and acute hospital psychiatric units.

Who Can Apply?

The program is open to behavioral health and primary care clinicians and support staff with a range of credentials, including but not limited to psychiatrists, social workers, primary care physicians, nurses, case managers, physician assistants, psychologists, occupational therapists, nurse practitioners, community health workers, mental health counselors, and many more. How Much Debt Relief Could You Get?

Primary care physician

up to $150,000

Registered nurse

up to $50,000

Community health worker

up to $30,000

Psychiatrists

up to $300,000


Physician assistant

up to $50,000


Licensed social workers (LCSW and LICSW)

up to $50,000


Occupational therapist

up to $50,000


Psychologists

up to $150,000

Many other clinical and patient support staff positions qualify. Awards range from $25K to $300K depending on degrees, position, and full or part-time status. A job or job offer with a qualifying organization is required.
