Grades 1-3

Mad Science® Experimentamania!

Experiments are the best part of being a Mad Scientist! During this session, students learn about several specialized areas of science including forensics, geology, kinesiology, meteorology, entomology and mechanical engineering. It’s Experimentamania!

Class Topics Include:

Bugs - Explore the world's most abundant creatures!

Detective Science - Discover how science is used to solve real life mysteries.

Earthworks - Investigate the powerful processes that shape the planet and form remarkable rocks, magnificent minerals, and glittering gems!

Science of Toys - Use bouncing balls, yo-yos and other classic toys to discover the science of motion through fun hands-on activities.

Mad Science Machines - Just like real engineers, students use pulleys, levers, and more for problem-solving fun.

Walloping Weather - Discover how hurricanes, tornadoes, and thunderstorms develop, and how powerful they can be!

Dates: October 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 and Nov 13 (No class Nov 6)

Mad Science® BRIXOLOGY – Fall 2018

BRIXOLOGY – Carnivals, Crawlers and other Creations!

This captivating STEM program uses LEGO® bricks and customized builds designed with a LEGO® Certified Designer to introduce children to engineering in a fun and engaging way! Our expert and highly engaging instructors will guide students as they utilize critical thinking, cooperation, and creative, hands-on problem-solving to test and improve their creations. In addition, they will experience extended learning with a take home item to reinforce each concept!

Class topics include:

Carnivals (create a carnival ride)

Creatures (build a creature that can really crawl)

Machines (Make a machine that draws pictures)

Towers (It’s skyscrapers galore!)
