115-Year Rivalry - Herington

One of the tightest rivalries in the state of Kansas came to a close after the 2015 season. Council Grove and Herington first began playing football against one another in 1900. The series ended after 2015 when Herington moved down to 8-man classification. In the early to mid-1900s the two teams faced countless times for a pre-Thanksgiving game that would occur on the night before the holiday.
