Students learned basic skills to make food from scratch and how to shop thier cabinets this summer. Homemade Mac and Cheese, Chicken and Dumplings, Omelettes, Pasta sauce, and food prep.
Photography club this summer offered students the opportunity to learn basic photography skills and the perfect subject: food prepared by our cooking club
Partnerships with Girls Scouts over the summer provided us some much needed SEL skills to help us relieve our aches and anxiety: Turtle yoga, this activity also correlated with bath bombs in the shape of turtle eggs-it was hatching season!
Ty Klopf, a former graduate, came to Ignite this summer and lead our videography club. Students were able to gain insight and lots of knowledge on this media background with producing a video of our cooking club product of homemade pasta sauce.
How better to learn about the multimedia career then with a field trip to WCMU to get a behind the scene look into this industry. Students came back and implemented learned skills by making their own interview videos.
