INSTRUCTIONS - ADMISSION PROCESS ONLINE (not in school)
Admission processes for interested applicants are being done online and from home, on Mondays and Fridays in the morning. (Usually 8.30 a.m. - Colombian time).
If the following criteria are met, the Entry Exams and interviews can be done abroad:
The admissions fee $210,000 has been paid and all admissions documents have been received by Colegio Gran Bretaña. Please find the bank information to make a bank transfer here. If you prefer paying with a credit card, please let us know and we will send you the corresponding instructions.
The proctor completes a form certifying that the test will be done under examination conditions and that the academic integrity of the test will be maintained.
The family interview with the psychologists can be done through Google Hangouts or Skype. (An additional family interview with the Educational Achievement Department will need to be set for any student with special needs.)
The letter of commitment is completed by the parents.
STEPS TO FOLLOW

Complete the Application Form and upload the corresponding documents.

An application Fee of $210,000 or $75 US dollars per student must be paid. Bank details are provided below.

Please ask your child’s current teachers to complete the form on this link.

Please send an email to admissions@cgb.edu.co with the following details: Name of Proctor in charge of administering the test. / Email of Proctor administering the test. / Proctor agreement completed. We understand that under the current situation with school closures a parent may need to be the proctor.

Students applying for Nursery and Reception should have scissors, paper, the child's favourite toy and book, and maybe a collection of small toys, in addition to the Admissions booklet which you will need to print before the Admissions test. This will be shared with you in advance by admissions@cgb.edu.co

Students applying for Year 1 and Year 2 will complete an online synchronous writing task, as well as the Admissions booklet and the Numeracy Progress Tests forms which you will need to print before the Admissions test. These will be shared with you in advance by admissions@cgb.edu.co

Students applying for Year 3 to 6, will complete an online synchronous written task with the admissions team, which you will need to print before the Admissions test. On the same day at a time suitable to the family, the child will need to complete an online English Test (language use and listening skills) and the CAT4 exam online. The CAT4 exam is divided into three sections and takes about 2 hours to complete in total.

Students applying for Secondary (Year 7 to Year 13) will be required to complete an asynchronous written task (handwritten on paper), which you will need to print before the Admissions Test. They will also take an online English test (Language use and listening skills) and the CAT4 exam on the same day at a time suitable to the family. The CAT4 exam is divided into three sections and takes about 2 hours to complete in total.

Interviews for all applicants. An appointment online will be set with the family and the applicant(s) to meet with different members of the Student Services Teams. These appointments are usually arranged on Mondays and Fridays between 8 and 11 a.m. (Colombian Time). A Google Hangout link will be shared with you to join the following meetings:
a. Emotional Guidance Department: Family/student interview with our psychologists.
b. Educational Achievement Department: Family/Student interview with our learning specialists
c. Additional Language Department: Student interview to assess oral communication skills in English
10.
Children whose entry tests were done abroad and not at CGB, will be monitored during the first three months of school and if extra tutoring or support is required, parents will commit to provide the required resources. Please find on this link the letter of commitment which must be completed by parents.
The Admissions Committee meets every Tuesday to review the different applications. If acceptance is granted, instructions for matriculation will be sent by email and the registration process must be completed by parents within the following month.
