We were very impressed with the behaviour, participation and leadership demonstrated by Year 6 at the swimming carnival. We are looking forward to a cooler and more settled week, as we begin and finish Week 3 with little 'interruption' to normal classes.

Reminder: All students need to bring a set of headphones for Music.

Week 2, Term 1

Year 6 had an excellent first week back already proving themselves as leaders with a fabulous induction liturgy. Mr Wigg talked to our students about cyber safety, including how to remain safe and what to do if you feel unsafe. We encourage you to talk to your child about this topic regularly and to check out this website about the age requirements of different social media platforms:

https://esafety.gov.au/education-resources/iparent/staying-safe/social-networking/is-there-an-age-limit-for-kids-on-social-media

This week, we will continue to focus on teaching Year 6 students Chromebook skills as we want to ensure our students are confident users of this technology. We will also be launching into some really exciting and challenging learning experiences in Mathematics and Geography.

We were really impressed by the teamwork Year 6 demonstrated in preparing for the induction and we look forward to working with this cohort throughout the year. Good times ahead!
