Sarah Suboticki
With nearly two decades of experience in education, Mrs. Sarah Suboticki brings a wealth of knowledge and dedication to her role as a K-12 English Learner and Early Childhood Specialist. She spent 18 years in the classroom as a 4th grade teacher, where she built a strong foundation in instructional practices and student engagement. Mrs. Suboticki holds a Bachelor's Degree in Middle Childhood Education with concentrations in science, social studies, and reading. She furthered her expertise with a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, focusing on literacy development. She also holds a K-12 Reading Endorsement and an Administrative Specialist License, equipping her to support all learners and lead strategic instructional initiatives. In addition to her current role, Sarah is an avid grant writer, successfully securing funding to support district-wide educational programs and student engagement. Outside of work, she enjoys cheering on her three children in their activities and actively volunteering in her community.
Sangita Thapa
Sangita Thapa is proud to serve as the Bilingual Family Liaison for Cuyahoga Falls City School District. Now in her second year with the district, she is dedicated to supporting the Nepali/Bhutanese community by bridging communication and fostering cultural understanding between families and the school. With several years of experience as an interpreter and cultural broker, she am committed to helping families navigate the education system with confidence. Sangita holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies and has been actively involved in community engagement since migrating to the United States 16 years ago. Her experience includes serving as an executive member for a nonprofit organization and working as a real estate entrepreneur.
Melody Barrett
Melody has a Master of Science in Education and over 20 years of teaching experience in Integrated Language Arts and English as a Second Language (ESL) for grades 6-12 across both Ohio and California. Her passion extends beyond the classroom as she engages in media production, providing voiceovers for local TV commercials. A lover of popular culture, her favorite decades include the 1950s, 1960s, and 1980s, and she enjoys spending her summers at Blossom Music Center. Her literary favorites include To Kill a Mockingbird, Frankenstein, The Great Gatsby, and Pride and Prejudice—all classics that inspire her.
Errol Brazek
Errol Brazek has dedicated his career to education within the city of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, for the past 27 years. His journey in service began with an undergraduate degree in Social Work from the University of Akron, laying a foundation for understanding and supporting individuals. He furthered his qualifications by obtaining a Teacher Certification from Ashland University and a Master's degree from Kent State University,equipping him with the pedagogical skills necessary for the classroom. Throughout his extensive career as an educator, Errol has positively impacted the lives of numerous young learners, having taught at various grade levels including 2nd, 4th, and 5th grade. Recognizing the diverse needs of his student population, he also earned a TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) Endorsement from the University of Akron. Currently, Errol applies his specialized skills by providing English as a Second Language (ESL) services to students at both Price Elementary and Lincoln Elementary schools in Cuyahoga Falls. Beyond his professional commitments, Errol enjoys spending quality time with his family through outdoor activities. His hobbies include hiking in nature, camping under the stars, and the exhilaration of riding motorcycles.
Korey Johnson
Korey Johnson is an English Language (EL) Teacher passionate about empowering students to thrive through language acquisition. Her journey in education began with Cuyahoga Falls City Schools in 2013, where she spent nine impactful years as a 3rd-grade teacher. This foundational experience, coupled with a Master's in Reading Specialization from Kent State University, deeply informs her approach to literacy development. In 2022, Korey embraced the exciting challenge of becoming an EL teacher, building on her TESOL endorsement from the University of Akron (2019) to create inclusive and effective learning environments. When she's not in the classroom, Korey is most often enjoying time with her husband and two children.
Eileen Kerr
Eileen Kerr has a BS in Early Childhood Education and a K-12 Reading Endorsement from Kent State University as well as a K-12 TESOL Endorsement from The University of Akron. Eileen has been an educator for the past 25 years and has been with the Cuyahoga Falls City School District for the past 18 years. She has been a Title 1 teacher, kindergarten teacher and is now an EL teacher. When she is not teaching she is spending time with her family and cheering on her son in his band competitions. She enjoys being outdoors hiking, skiing and working in the yard.
Alicia Martinjak
Alicia Martinjak is licensed to teach English as a Second Language and Music. She is a graduate of the Ohio State University with two Bachelor’s Degrees in Music Education and Chinese with a TESOL Endorsement. Alicia has over 14 years experience teaching English as a Second Language to students K-12 including teaching experience in Korea. Alicia was born in Taiwan and completed the ESL program as a young child. Alicia enjoys family time with her husband and twin daughters.
Lidia Touraji
Lidia Touraji is a multi-licensed educator with over 20 years of experience in elementary education. She is certified in Early Childhood Education, holds a Reading Endorsement, and is licensed as both an Intervention Specialist and an English as a Second Language (ESL) instructor. Lidia earned her bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from The University of Akron, where she also completed her master’s degree in Intervention Specialist (Mild/Moderate). For the past six years, she has been teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) in the Cuyahoga Falls schools. Her teaching journey has taken her across the globe, including time spent in Canada and Japan, where she taught English to both children and adults. Outside the classroom, Lidia enjoys exploring new cultures, reading, cooking with friends, and spending time with family.
Beth Van Houten
Beth Van Houten has been with the CFCSD for 32 years. She loves teaching in Cuyahoga Falls! Beth grew up here, raised her family here and is committed to helping the school district and community thrive. Beth started as an EL Tutor and then moved into a Fourth Grade general education classroom for 25 years. Now, she is back teaching EL, and loving every minute of it. Beth has a Bachelors from Hiram College along with a Reading Endorsement. She also attended the University of Akron, where she first received her TESOL endorsement and then her Masters Degree. Beth has a wonderful husband, two amazing children in their twenties, and two very silly pugs.
Erin Violette
Erin Violette is a licensed K-12 TESOL teacher and K-12 Reading Endorsed teacher at Cuyahoga Falls High School. She will be going into her 12th year of teaching full-time. Mrs. Violette is a graduate of the University of Toledo. She earned a Bachelor’s degree and Master’s in English with a concentration in TESOL. Additionally, Mrs. Violette earned her reading endorsement through Kent State University, and through UCLA’s Project Assets, earned her NABE EL Educator Badge. Mrs. Violette specializes in the teaching of academic writing to ELs. Mrs. Violette enjoys continuing to learn Spanish and Arabic. Mrs. Violette is a proud wife, soccer mom, and dog mom. You may find her out walking her pug and golden retriever or rollerblading.
Torie Vozar
Torie Vozar is in her eighth year teaching and eighth year at Bolich Middle School. She completed her student teaching in a majority refugee high school in Chicago while attending Loyola University Chicago. She recently completed her Master’s as a Reading Specialist at Kent State University. She enjoys spending time with her husband, wild toddler son, and dog. Baby boy #2 is on the way this summer! She loves the resilience of ESL students and will do whatever she can to help them and their families feel accepted and be successful.
