CR Prairie Invite

Location

Saturday's meet is located at Cedar Rapids Prairie High School campus. All freshman & sophomores will run in the 9/10 division and juniors & seniors will run in the JV division unless they are running in the varsity division. The 9/10 race distance is 4k. JV and varsity races are 5k.

Concessions will be available at the meet.

Bus Departure

Bus departure will be 6:00 AM from the high school. Pickup will be by the track. Athletes should arrive at 5:50. 

Food

The team will pack snacks (granola bars, pre-race snack) and a sports drink along with some water for each runner. It is important that athletes bring food for breakfast and post-race food if they want more to eat after their race. 

Spectator Parking

There may be a $5 parking fee for each vehicle. Not listed in the 2025 meet information.

Course Map

Course Map: The 4k and 5k races both do two laps and finish on the track. Mike Jay, who is the state meet announcer, will be on the call.

8:40 - Varsity Girls 5K (10 entries)

9:35 - 9/10 Girls 4K

10:10 - 9/10 Boys 4K

10:45 - JV Girls - 5K

11:25 - JV Boys - 5K

Live results here! Awards will recognized for top 10 for the varsity competition, both divisions and genders, top 3 for the lower level races, as well as team awards.

After the Meet

Seniors will be in charge of setting up the team camp and tear down. Make sure athletes return their timing chips in the red cart prior to leaving the meet. If you are planning to take your athlete home after the meet, there will be a sign out sheet in the RED CART. Just sign next to your child's name. Athletes may only ride with a parent/guardian.
