The westernmost region of the United States is the Pacific Coast. It includes high mountain ranges that stretch from Alaska to Mexico. The climate varies from cold and rainy in the north to dry and warm in the south. Natural resources include copper, fish and grapes. Economic activities include tourism and ranching.
