Welcome to Mr. Sekharan's Science!

Note to Parents and Students:

In these unprecedented days in our life - for our community, nation, and world - we must unite by supporting each other to our best abilities.

For those who haven’t, I encourage you to take the following steps.

1st Step: The CFISD online "Learning at Home" program is now posted on the CFISD website. From www.cfisd.net, click on the COVID-19 graphic to access the online learning materials. Information for accessing "Learning at Home" is attached.

HELP DESK INFORMATION

If you need assistance finding your student’s CFISD log in or logging into any resources, please contact the Help Desk via email isupport@cfisd.net or call 281-897-4357.

2nd Step: Enroll in your course: 19-20 CFISD TX Biology B Online.

We will begin on the Topic: “The Human Body – Part 1”. Further directions will be given in Google Classroom.

3rd Step: Join Google Classroom: “Sekharan Cy-Park Biology 2020 - Learning at Home” - classroom code: fiejdwt

Join with a class code (students must use their school email id)

  1. Go to classroom.google.com and click Sign In. Sign in with your student Google Account. For example, ssIDXXXX@stu.cfisd.net
  2. At the top, click Add. Join class.
  3. Enter the class code and click Join.

PLEASE read and follow the instructions in the “STREAM” & “CLASSWORK” Tabs.

Cy-Park HS Biology will utilize google classroom to allow students to check-in, provide opportunity to ask questions, and answer discussion questions. Students must check-in and respond to discussion questions in Google classroom - every week. This allows for monitoring student progress in "Learning at Home" (online learning) – and gives opportunity for feedback.

Please be advised: By district mandate, Google classroom does not replace the “Learning at Home” online learning platform that all CFISD students are using. The Google classroom is a supplemental aid to allow your child to answer discussion questions, receive supplemental aids, and give them the ability to communicate their understanding.

I will continue to be in contact as we transition further into online learning.

Thank you very much for your patience and flexibility.

Warm regards,

Sudhir Sekharan, M.Ed.
