Reading Olympics is an optional monthly reading challenge from the Freeman Library. Each challenge is designed to give students a variety of reading experiences, and foster a life-long love of reading.
Specific directions for each challenge will be posted at the beginning of each month. Challenges must be correctly completed and submitted by the last school day of each month. Late work will not be accepted. It is the student’s responsibility to make sure his or her monthly submission was received. Students may check their progress by viewing their graded work in the Reading Olympics Google Classroom. Correctly completed challenges will receive a score of 100. If the challenge is not completed correctly, students may redo the challenge and resubmit up until the last school day of the assigned month. A record will be kept of the challenges completed, and medals will be presented at the end-of-year awards’ assemblies. Medals will not be given out early nor kept over the summer.
