Dear Creekview Band Friends and Family,

We’ve had another wonderful week for the Mustangs! Shout out to our homecoming court nominees Samuel Shin (9) and Alain Baviera (12). Great work to everyone this past week with Hallway decoration, spirit parades and homecoming performances – again we had some weather issues, and we handled it with class! Thanks to everyone for coming out so support the band and helping us transition through delays and such! It takes a village J

This week we will have a BYE week, a shorter Monday rehearsal for Meet the teacher night and then a couple of longer ones at Standridge stadium to catch up on drill learning and review in preparation for our 1st major contest of the season next weekend (sept.29th)

Congratulations to Alain Baviera (12) for being selected Homecoming King by all CHS!

Congratulations to our VERY talented Jazz members for auditioning and making the TMEA Region 31 Jazz Ensembles! This marks the most members to make the Jazz ensembles in a single year!!

1st SPIRIT NIGHT THIS WEEK! Make plans to dine out with us at Chick-Fil-A this Wednesday evening from 5-8pm! Be sure to tell them you’re with the Creekview Band! This is a strong tradition we have – We host a few spirit nights in the fall for all band members, family and friends to join us and have a GREAT time together – Come out and celebrate all the amazing accomplishments and your talented Creekview Band!

PONCHOS: by now you should have dried your ponchos. Be sure to write your name on the poncho with a sharpie. Fold it as neatly and compact as you can and place it in your duffel bag should we need to use it later this season. *if you don’t have a clear poncho, this is the time to secure one that will match with the band. Please do not allow yourself to be the exception. The expectation is for everyone to have a CLEAR poncho for rainy performances.

PARENT VOLUNTEERS: Join us and meet many of our amazing band families through volunteer work, and regular attendance at our practices, games, contests and band socials! Fill out the MANDATORY cfb background check form – this is required for all persons helping at any chs band event.
