Puberty Letter
To: Parents/Guardians of 5th Grade Students
From: David Nicholson, Health/Wellness Educator
Subject: Health Education Curriculum Unit Puberty/Human Development
In accordance with the CESU health curriculum, the 5th graders at BRMS who currently are in the EXP health class rotation will be beginning the Puberty/Human Development Unit. This unit is a very important part of the health education curriculum.
The unit will consist of four classes which will address the issues of puberty and human development. At times I may be joined in class by the BRMS school nurses Mrs. Tina Gallagher or Mrs. Ainee Commichau. This may be an optimal time for parents to discuss and reinforce the issues of puberty/human development with your child at home. Sometimes students have questions or concerns that they prefer to share with parents.
