CHMS Running Club

Dear Running Club Parents! WE DO NOT HAVE ANY MORE RUNNER'S CLUB PRACTICE.

The running club will be joining with the CHMS XC team for a year end celebration on Thursday, October 26th. It will be held after school until 4:30! The kids will head on the trails to play zombie tag, etc, then return to the cafeteria for snacks, drinks and slide show of our season! We would love it families could donate food for the party! Please check out the CHMS XC site where you can sign up! Thanks again for a wonderful XC season! Please bring your child's running shirt, washed and returned to the coaches! See you on Thursday!

Welcome to the CHMS 2017-2018 Season of the Running Club. This club is for students who are new to running or just getting going again with running. All that is needed is an interest in running. The club will meet 3 times per week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays (unless there is a meet). Proper stretching and running techniques will be covered and students may participate in cross country meets if they choose to. Practices will be until 3:30. Students may take the late bus home if needed. Most meets start at 4pm unless you hear otherwise.

What to Bring

  1. Comfortable clothes to run and move in
  2. Sneakers
  3. Water bottle
  4. Healthy snacks such as:
  • yogurt
  • Peanut butter or almond butter sandwiches with natural fruit jam
  • Turkey and/or cheese wraps cut into 1-inch slices for easy finger food
  • Low-fat string cheese and mini pretzels
