Colorado Relief Maps
First Quarter Field Trip:
Bird Banding Field trip to Ridgeway State Park with the rangers. Parents are welcome to join for this event. Parents will need to drive their own vehicles and purchase a parks pass to enter the park. We will leave as early as possible for Ridgway State Park on the morning of September 11. You are welcome to meet us at the Dallas Creek entrance. Please stop by the office and have your driver's license ran through the raptor system before you arrive for the field trip. Any parent without an id bag will be asked to leave.
First Quarter Project:
Students will be doing some at home research on our grade level PBL (Problem Based Learning Project). We are finding ways to support wildlife as they face drought conditions. Students will need to practice their part of the presentation at home and come to school the day of the PANEL PRESENTATION dressed professionally. (sometime during the first week of October.)
Second Quarter Project:
Students will make a relief map of Colorado. This will be your opportunity to get creative and have fun learning about Colorado's regions. Parents are encouraged to help students with this project. Students will present their final map to the class.
