About me
I hold an M.Phil. in Economics from the University of Cambridge, UK, and a Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins University, USA. I then worked for two years as a researcher at the European University Institute in Florence. In 2007, I started my academic career at CERGE-EI in Prague, where I am still now, engaged in research in labor economics and economics of education, also working for the IDEA think tank. Since 2023, I have been engaged in the project Talent, devoted to the applied analysis and education in the area of giftedness, with a special focus on the situation in the Czech Republic.
My work is mostly empirical and from the fields of labor economics and economics of education.
I am interested in gender inequality, family-life balance, impact of family policies, careers of women in STEM, business cycle effects at the time of college enrollment, talented children .... and more.
