Parents, Our school is located near high traffic areas, as safety is a high priority for us, we are doing all that we can to help ensure our students are being safe when traveling to and from school. If you have students who walk to school, please help us by talking to them about using crosswalks and sidewalks in order to safely avoid traffic. Also, When dropping off students please be sure to drop off along the sidewalks to avoid moving vehicles on streets and driveways.

Counseling Services:

Cesar Chavez Junior High has counselors available. They can assist with social skills, emotional well-being, and psychological well-being. Please talk to a learning director today for a referral. These services are free and are provided during the school day. Your student would be pulled from an elective to meet with a professional.

Parent/Teacher Conference:

Would you like to speak with your student’s teachers about first quarter grades? Please join us for parent conferences on October 25th - 27th. All three days will be minimum days which means that school is out at 12:05 p.m. Conferences will begin on both days at 12:30 p.m. and end at 2:00 p.m. Night conferences are only on October 26th from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m.

Attendance:

This is a reminder that every day in school counts. Please schedule doctor, dentist and other appointments on non-school days or after school hours.

College Awareness Night

Parents would you like to hear info about how to prepare your student for college? Learning Directors from the High Schools will present strategies to help support college readiness on October 4th from 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. in the Library.

Halloween Dress-Up

Parents,

Students are permitted to dress up for Halloween however there are a few guidelines/restrictions for costumes. Number one, we must be able to identify the student at all time, this means no face masks or face paint is allowed. Number two, costumes must be appropriate for school; the costume cannot be too revealing. Number three, the costume cannot cause a disturbance.
