Welcome

Remember, kids, the only difference between screwing around and science is writing it down.

The scientific method establishes the true nature of the world around us “by making measurements that are valid, collecting that data in a rigorous way, analyzing it in an appropriate way, and then [making] small changes to try to establish cause and effect,” (Shaha, 2009).  Thus, by learning science, we are able to gain the ability to question why, and think for ourselves to determine what information makes sense and seems reasonable.

About me

I am originally from Oberlin, KS. I graduated from Hastings College in 2009 with a B.A. in Chemistry. I then spent a year and a half at the  University of Kansas working on research in the field of Organic Chemistry.  I returned to Hastings College and obtain my Masters in teaching in 2013.

My wife, Nicole, and I were married 11 years ago.  We are blessed to have three children, Luke, Ella, & Lora, and a yellow lab named Brooks.  This is my 11th year as a Centurion and Nicole works for Grand Island Physical Therapy at St. Francis Hospital.  Other than science, some things I enjoy are hunting, fishing, camping, and sports.
