Review: The world sucked me in and unlike other fantasy books, the magic system is easy to understand. The author lets the characters have opinions and ideas that are not all perfect that they then have to work through. The romance is not forced but is actually interesting. The plot twist genuinely shocked me and the only thing that stops it from being among the best books I have ever read, is that it doesn't take up my thoughts when I'm not reading or when I'm reading other books.
