Central Community School System and the Special Education Advisory Council members are excited to bring our parents of students with disabilities relevant information from our district and surrounding areas. This newsletter will be updated during the year as decided by our SEAC and district leaders with information and active links to events and resources. Recreation & Social Events

SpedTacular Socials allow children with disabilities and their families to build relationships with other families who experience the unique challenges and triumphs of everyday life. 

Adaptive Recreation is a program that provides social & recreational services to all patrons with physical or developmental disabilities. 

Parent Supports & Resources

These organizations hold support meetings and activities for families around our community. These links will take you to their calendar of events and other resources that could be helpful to you.

Transition to Employment 

CCSS works closely with parish and state departments to ensure that our students and families aging out of school services are supported in finding employment, continuing to develop job skills, and advancing their daily living skills. Here are a few options to assist in that transition.
